Our mission is to improve your quality of living. We emphasize patient education by helping you to better know your own body and understand your condition and its underlying causes. We are not just interested in pain management, but are looking to heal your body one touch at a time.

Our Business

Our business was born out of Aniela's passion for bodywork and seeing patients' lives changed for the better. Though established in 2007, Aniela and other members of our staff have been healing the human body for well over a decade. We strive to create a soothing and low-key, yet professional atmosphere. Our focus is on caring for you, the patient, as a whole, not just your physical pain.

Meet Our Staff

ANIELA CANARY, LCMT

Aniela is the founder and owner of Edgewater Wellness Clinic and has been practicing bodywork since 1994. A native of Poland, Aniela received a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing there and continued her education at the The Soma Institute for Clinical Massage in Chicago,IL, graduating with honors in 2001. Aniela is an Illinois Licensed Clinical Massage Therapist and also a certified chiropractic assistant. She has been teaching exercise, strength training, and aerobics classes since 1985. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and three adorable grandchildren.

DAVID WALLSTEADT, LCMT

David graduated with honors from The Soma Institute for Clinical Massage Therapy in 2007. His techniques have therapeutic applications for an array of postural deviations, chronic pain, and traumatized tissue, yet his touch is kind enough to relax and reset the psyche. He has had amazing results with anxiety and mood disorders. Incorporating sports massage techniques, the most dedicated marathoner to the weekend warrior will be on their 'A game' with David's pre and post event care. Prenatal certification allows him to work with moms-to-be, melting tension away from the lower back and all the other aches that come with carrying a baby.

MARK J. MOORE, M.A., LCPC

Mark received his Bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of Southern California and his Master's degree in clinical psychology from Roosevelt University. He is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in the state of Illinois. He has worked in psychiatric and addiction hospitals, community mental health centers and has significant experience working with diverse minority populations. Mark is also fluent in Portugese and Spanish. He specializes in cross-cultural issues with couples, individual therapy, and group therapy. He also has experience working with clients suffering from depression, anxiety, addiction, sexual dysfunction, chronic physical pain, domestic violence, and adults who are coping with trauma, particularly immigrants, many of whom have suffered from post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
